On this journey to become the next Benton County Commissioner
I'm going to accomplish a lot, and I need help from citizens like you who care about democracy and change for America.
Benton County is a region blessed with so many people of immense knowledge
and desire for a beautiful, prosperous, healthy way of life.
We are absolutely a place that is peaceful.
We are absolutely a place that cares about nature and our impact on nature.
We are absolutely a place that values innovation and caring solutions to our needs and problems
This is why we need to elect Green Party representatives and officeholders to our local and national governments. The Green Party stands for grassroots democracy. We will work to increase involvement with new and existing policies in Benton County.
The Coffin Butte Landfill expansion and use is an issue that needs an environmentally conservative, multi-generational environmental perspective. We should analyze and try to limit the impact of this existing landfill and only expand if it is of critical need and would benefit future generations of Benton County Residents, not create more problems for them.
Consequentially, as stewards of Benton County we should be reducing waste and working to achieve net zero waste where possible. We should work with businesses as well to reduce restaurant carry out and service trash. I know there are existing initiatives being considered at the county level, and my hope is that we can leverage our highly innovative helpful Benton County citizens to build models that can be effective and implemented quickly.
Housing for the many people that live in Benton county currently as well as future incoming people is of high importance for our future prosperity. We have resources to move forward, building and reshaping our county to achieve realistic housing opportunities for our citizens. We again need to call upon our community of citizens to aid us in making lands, buildings and fields into new or repurposed housing.
Make a choice for change in Benton county and vote Green not just for County Commissioner, but wherever you see us on the ballot.
Our first concern is democracy for all people of Benton County, Oregon and the United States of America, and we want to help take responsibility for our stewardship of this nation.
